We provide a comfortable waiting area, should you wish to wait at the hospital. At any time, you are welcome to consult with one of our team to get updates on the status of your loved one’s journey.
If you do not wish it to be known that you are in the hospital, please inform reception.

To keep our patients and staff safe, visiting restrictions may be in place at the different COVID traffic light settings. Please visit our FAQ page for visiting at the current alert level.
On the day of their surgery, there will be times when you will not be able to see your whānau member during their immediate recovery phase although in discussion with the nursing team we may be able to make allowances. However, you are welcome to wait in our comfortable reception area or to call us for an update on the patient’s progress.
Visiting hours are between 1.00pm and 8.00pm daily. This allows patients to fully rest in the mornings to support their recovery. If you need to visit your whānau member outside of these visiting hours, please call our team to arrange this.
Patients are welcome to have a small number of visitors dine with them and visitors can choose from the daily menu. Our patient hospitality team will take orders and additional meals can be added to the patient’s account.
Free car parking is available at the hospital in the clearly marked zones, but these can be limited during peak visiting times.
Should patients or visitors require taxi services, the main reception team will be happy to arrange this for you.
We have a no smoking and vaping policy in the hospital buildings and grounds.
We ask all visitors to sign in at the kiosk in the main reception area.
