We’re thrilled to be able to offer casual nursing positions based at Anderson Park Surgical Centre.
We are looking for experienced nurses who have worked in either the theatre and / or the post anaesthetic care unit setting. The procedures undertaken at the Anderson Park Surgical Centre are day stay cases only so you’ll need to able to work in a facility that accommodates quick turnarounds
While this facility is based in Napier and will house a small number of staff, you’ll be supported by the rest of the team based at Kaweka Hospital in Hastings. We’re focused on #MakingitBetter and you won’t get a better chance than this to do things differently, just ask our current staff!

Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) Team Leader

- Permanent position
- Full time, 80 hours per fortnight
- Monday to Friday
Our PACU Team are looking for their next leader as the current PACU Team Leader is off on a new venture!
The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit is well-established, with a skilled and passionate team already in place. The processes and procedures have been set up, but with continuous improvement one of Kaweka’s core values, we’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to make suggestions, take suggestions and empower the team to do the same.
If you’re someone who knows how to encourage, engage and inspire those around you, then you’re just the kind of leader we’re looking for. You’ll need to be able to give us examples of where you’ve had opportunities to showcase your skills and abilities through previous experience.
Previous experience as a PACU nurse will obviously help you hit the ground running. It’s a unique environment so we’d love some passionate and professional, but you also need to be someone who knows how to keep things light and have fun at work.
